Sample Quilt
T-Shirts for Sample Quilt
Lay each shirt on a flat surface and smooth as much as possible. If there are images on the front and back of the shirts that will to be used in the quilt, be sure to measure and record the front and back individually.
Record information for each t-shirt, clicking the Add button for each one.
- Select the color that matches the fabric of the shirt.
- Use a descriptive name for the shirt, using the logo as a guide
- If the image is on the front of the shirt, check the checkbox under Front. This is especially useful if there is a shirt used for both the front and back.
- Using a tape measure the shirts and record:
- Shirt Width - Measure from sleeve seam to sleeve seam. Round down to the nearest ½”
- Shirt Height - Measure from the collar/neck seam to the bottom. Round down to the nearest ½”

- Image Width - Measure from the widest points from left to right. Round up to the nearest ½”

- Image Height - Measure from the tallest points from top to bottom of the image on the front. Round up to the nearest ½”

- Shirt Width - Measure from sleeve seam to sleeve seam. Round down to the nearest ½”

*Note: The blocksize and block layout will change with each t-shirt that is recorded. These are calculated with the measurements of all t-shirts.
