Yes! - I want these in the quilt! Shirts that are similar in size. 100% cotton.
No - Shirts that have multiple of the exact same color and image, tanks that are too skinny to square off, or shirts that have holes and stains near or on the logo.
Maybe - These are candidates. Might be used for filler, but I will not be sad if they do make it in the quilt.
Others - This could be a pile of odd sized shirts, shirts with only small breast logos, images that are odd sized, silky material such as uniforms, or shirts with images down the sleeves and are not already in another pile. These are shirts that are possibilities to include but do not fit the standard. These could be used for a small patchwork on the back of the quilt, with backing around them to fill the remainder of the back. These could be used to sew shirts together to make a full sized shirt block.
Start with the Yes! pile. Put the shirts in order, top to bottom, from most favorite to least favorite.
Each shirt will be measured and recorded individually. The shirt should be on a flat surface and smoothed as much as possible before measuring. It is not necessary to iron the shirt for this step.
The quilt size, block layout, and block size will be calculated based on the t-shirt information being recorded. You will be able to preview the quilt before purchasing the pattern.
You will need to create an account to store t-shirt measurements. This only requires a name and email address. We will never sell or share your information!
